David Marshall
Drums/Vocals
Dave Marshall is a veteran musician, drummer, recordist, and audio engineer with over three decades of professional experience. His musical journey began in Montana with piano and percussion training, including studies under Drum Corps International Hall of Fame inductee Professor James Campbell.
After touring the Northwest, Dave relocated to Arizona in 1989 where his bands Box of Cherries and The Einsteins recorded in premier studios including Billy Moss’ Vintage, Hormel Studio, Keith Olsen’s Goodnight LA, and Mikal Blue’s Record Factory. Notable achievements include winning Z-Rock’s Battle of the Bands, Rock Today Magazine’s Band of the Year (1993), and ASU’s Battle of the Bands (1996).
Since 1995, Dave has operated commercial recording studios, culminating in today’s FourDoor Studio. His drumming career spans nightclubs, casinos, and dance halls throughout Arizona, with additional private studies under three-time National Snare Drum Champion Mitch Markovich.
As a sound engineer, Dave has worked with notable performers including Denny Lane (Paul McCartney and Wings), Joey Molland (Badfinger), and Marc Antoine (Sting, Celine Dion). His mixing and mastering work has appeared on Nickelodeon, and he has sound mixer credits for “Pizza Shop: The Movie” and audio production for Dial Corporation.
Dave currently performs with multiple bands in addition to the Radios, including Jukebox 6 featuring Nicole Pesce, The Crimsons, The CoverUps, and Summer of Love. He is endorsed by TJS Custom Drums and is part of the Blue Microphone Artist Program.
